Due December 5th & in desperate need of name help!
We are due December 5th and we are not going to find out the sex of him/her until s/he is born. We both love family and traditional names, which are very common in my family and in our social circles. We currently have several favorites picked out and are now trying to figure out the right combinations of names. Everyone in my family of origin has 3 given names, so that is an inviting option to us, but not necessary. Our favorites are Tucker (my mother’s maiden name), Austen (my mother-in-law’s maiden name), English (my grandmother’s middle name), O’Neil (the name of a dearly departed friend of my dh’s), Harrington (my great-grandmother’s first name and her mother’s maiden name), and Margaret and Elizabeth (my sisters’ names and names very common in my family). The hesitation that I have with using my sisters’ names is that my dh also has a sister, plus I have a brother—and I never want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Please give any feedback/suggestions for these combinations and any other combinations of names. As I have already said, we are due December 5th and need as much help as soon as possible with naming the new (and hopefully first, as we are hoping for more down the road) addition to the Easterwood family. Thanks!!
For a girl:
Mary English Austen Easterwood (call her “Mary English”)
Mary English O’Neil Easterwood
Mary Tucker Austen Easterwood (call her “Mary Tucker”)
Tucker Virginia Austen Easterwood (my dh’s favorite)
Tucker Elizabeth Margaret Easterwood
Harrington Virginia Austen Easterwood (my favorite, plus I like “Harri” or “Arri” as possible nicknames)
For a boy:
Tucker O’Neil Easterwood (my hd’s favorite)
Harrington O’Neil Easterwood (call him “Harry”; my favorite)
