Default ear infection?

I haven't had an ear infection since i was 2 and had tubes put in So i don't know what they feel like.
But my right ear feels all plugged up and if i move my head i can hear and feel fluid moving around. And if i bend over i get shooting pains in both ears.
Do you think its an infection? Do you think it would clear up on its own?
I just don'thave time to get to the walk in, its 45 mins away. And i don't have a doctor and i really don't want to go thru the hassle of calling badger care to see who i can see then calling the doctor to see if they are taking new patients and if they aren't i have to call the badger care number again!

I have also had a cough for over 2 months! I know i know i should go to the doctor....but seriously do you think i have an ear infection?

also do you all always treat you childs ear infections? My kids don't have any, just curious

It sounds like you have fluid stuck in your ear, not so much an infection. If it were an infection I would think you would feel pain all the time.

Try pouring a capful of rubbing alcohol in your ear and letting it sit for about 10 seconds then turning your head to let it out. It may help clean and dry up whatever is caught in there.

As far as the cough, I go through this every year and they always tell me its allergies. Some years I get it, others I dont. Who knows haha

Feel better!!!!

Last time I had fluid in my ear, and pain associated with it, my Dr. told me to "plug my nose and try to blow out" to pop my ears.
I did this several times over the course of two days, and it cleared up.
Maybe give that a try.

if you had walking pneumonia, you wouldnt be able TO walk...you would be exhausted to go anywhere. Your chest would also hurt to even take a deep breath in. Have you been tired to the point where you need to lay down all the time? If not I think it sounds like a bad case of allergies

we've always used hydrogen peroxide. the bubbles break down the wax (or whatevers blocking it) and voila! no more plugged ear. you'll hear the constant bubbles, but when it removes that blockage, you actually hear a small pop and it's instant relief. depending on how bad it is, it might take a few times. i used to get so happy when i had an ear infection and my dad came in with the peroxide -- meant i was getting back to sleep soon!

Well, I did have a case of walking pneumonia, and I was actually up, walking around, went to work everyday, just felt very sick and very tired all the time and I had extremely bad chest congestion with near constant cough and severe pain in my chest and eventually my back every time I did cough. This was a few years ago, but it was so horrible the memory has not faded. I ended up getting an ear infection with it and strangely enough the excruciating pain in my ears was what eventually drove me to the ER at 2 am one night where they diagnosed a double ear infection with "walking pneumonia" which I had never even heard of until then.

If you have walking pneumonia, you need antibiotics, period. If you have an ear infection, it may clear up on its own (unlikely), or it may get steadily worse until you can no longer take the pain and end up in the urgent care or emergency room (very likely). I would encourage you to make an appt to see a doc. Even if it is a hassle, I know, I hate to spend an afternoon on the phone with insurance companies, lawyers, utility companies, or any other organization that runs primarily on red tape, but we moms have to take care of ourselves so we will be able to take good care of our little ones.

Feel better!
