Default Early Labor

I am due on December third and began experiencing labor pains on Monday morning. They begin in my back and squeeze over my lower abdomen. They have been consistent but not consistently intense. They have continued on for four days now eveb at night. It does not seem they are progressing me at all. Is this a common experience? I was told I could possibly deal with these every three to four minutes until my due date. I am frustrated as I am already tired! Any words of wisdom?

They very well could be BH but since it's so close to your due date, you never know! I wouldn't be worried if it were the real deal because you're far enough along. But if they've been going for four days, then they are most likely braxton hicks. There are ways to avoid them sometimes, which I'm sure you already know about. Drinking lots of water, laying down and putting your feet up, taking a warm shower/bath, just taking it easy in general.

Keep us updated!

I experience the same tightening and it does get uncomfotable.I was actually hooked up to monitors in the hospital and even though they were exactley regular, he still said it was braxton hicks! Maybe that's what it is...Good luck, i know you get worried.

i had the same thing with DS, my doc told me to take a bath, if that helped then it was just BH but if it made it worse then it could be real. I would get them anytime i walked so id have to bend over in the middle of walmart to relieve the tension through my back and tummy... looked silly but it worked!
like the PP said just drink lots of water and be sure to rest a lot!

Default Braxton Hicks?

Hello!

Because it's so early and they're persistent, I would recommend you just make an appointment to make sure that they're not dilating you. They sound just like my Braxton Hicks contractions, though. They were pretty strong and a little uncomfortable, but not painful.

I think it's always best to be proactive and rule out any complications so that you don't have any regrets if something really is happening. I've had two preemies, one at 21 weeks and one at 27 weeks, and I just don't think it's worth taking chances.

Good luck to you!
