Default Easter Baskets Or Easter Egg Hunt

Please tell us what your family
enjoys doing for the annual Easter fun.

Do you have an Easter Egg Hunt?

Easter baskets after dinner?

Do you have lots of candy?

Or leaning towards something healthier?

we're having a huge easter this year. mainly because i want to give DD everything we didn't get a whole lot of. i took this weekend off because of all the activities! friday will be egg dyeing & good friday service. saturday we're going to the church easter egg hunt then DH & I are putting together her basket. sunday i'll be in church all morning (izzy will only be there for an hour), then an egg hunt at our house & easter dinner at my mother's.

the eggs here are filled with candy, mainly for me & dh lol. but i didn't know what else to put in them. i knew if i put some empty ones out there, DD won't pick them up. (too smart) her basket has a few toys & a chocolate bunny

our family goes for easter egg hunts as it excites kids more, especially the toddlers. the hunt ends at around 5pm just before the sun goes down then the family eats a hearty dinner together.

This year is a little different for us, it's our daughter's 6th birthday on Easter this year.
We'll be dying eggs tonight, Easter egg hunt tomorrow, then going to both Grandma's and Grandpa's for lunch and dinner/B-day parties on Sunday.

Our Easter celebration begins with the annual town easter egg hunt (which was last Saturday). Then, we try to find a church that does a living Last Supper performance. We will be dying eggs today (though we don't always do that). The boys wake up Sunday morning to an Easter basket and some toys. The one 'tradition' item in the baskets is always a really big chocolate bunny. They look forward to that every year. We go to a church service around 10am and then head to my in-laws for the rest of the day. We have a big dinner around 2pm, and then we have an easter egg hunt there for all the kids in the family. Sometimes, at night, we will take them to a movie, but not this year - Jack is too little.

This yr things are kinda hectic with the hoildays but we're trying to stick to the normal stuff. Last Saturday we went to a local egg hunt with our DD, niece, & nephew. Today I dyed eggs with the kids and my cousin. *Normally it's the night before, but we have a birthday party to go to.* Then Sunday we'll have the kids baskets set out for them * those have been put together for the past 2wks with me slowly adding stuff to them*. Followed by church and dinner at my InLaw's. Finally an egg hunt for the kids. Sadly we're not having dinner at my parents house. My dad had back surgery today and won't be home til Tuesday at the earliest. But hopefully we'll get to visit him Sunday.
