Default Easy Desserts?

I'd love to make some desserts but I;m not exactly the best in the kitchen. Anyone have any good EASY dessert ideas, besides the obvious chocolate cake in a box? I'd love to start preparing some new things.

My favorite way to get my family to eat fruit is to slice it up. Then add a scoop of ice cream. Then let them have their way with chocolate syrup. Works great with strawberries, peaches, pears, blackberries and blueberries. Alternatively add a biscuit or sponge cake and whipping cream or pudding.

Thats a fantastic idea! It will perfect during the summer when I'm trying to have "lighter" dessert options. Thanks for the suggestion!

Default Lemon Bars

These are easy to make and SO good, especially on a warm summer day!

LEMON SQUARE BARS

2 cups flour 2 c. white sugar
1 cup confectioners’ sugar 1 t. baking powder
1 c butter, melted ¼ c flour
4 eggs 5/8 c. lemon juice

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and 9 x 13 inch pan.
2.In a medium bowl, stir together 2 cups flour and confectioners’ sugar.
Blend in the melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
3.Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden. In a large bowl, beat eggs until
light. Combine the sugar, baking powder and ¼ cup of flour so there will
be no flour lumps. Stir the sugar mixture into the eggs. Finally, stir in
the lemon juice. Pour over the prepared crust and return to the oven.
4.Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until bars are set. Allow to cool
completely before cutting into bars.

Default try this banana pudding

Banana Pudding 3-ingredient, 20 mins
Someone told us about this quick, healthy pudding for year-round banana lovers. We fed this to children that were over 18 months whom we knew had no allergies to the listed ingredients.

Banana Pudding on the quick:
1. Mush up banana that is ripe & soft enough.
2.
Mix in a coupla drops of vanilla extract, stir in well.
3.
Add very pinch of nutmeg if you so desire (optional).
4. Put in a small glass or preferably plastic dish. Glass or plastic depends on age of child who will be eating it.
5. Put in freezer for no more than 20 minutes. Personal taste on how cold or hard you want the pudding texture.

Serve & Smile.

Default Banana Fruit Smoothie & Banana Chocolate Milkshake

Okay, Okay, we're some sorta banana freaks. Here's a coupla recipes. We are trying to be exact but you know these go by "feel."

BANANA FRUIT SMOOTHIE - for 2 to 4 people.
Personally for me, I use 4 to 5 bananas, but for kids, use 1 to 2.

One banana (or two)
Frozen blueberries or other frozen fruit. - Spoonfuls [two].
Couple of scoops Coconut Sorbet - I think Haagen Daz makes this.
Honey - teaspoon - OPTIONAL, especially for babies under one year.
Coupla ice cubes.
About one-half cup juice (pineapple goes well)
Spoonful of plain yogurt.

Blend well - this will be split between 2 to 4 people.

BANANA/CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE
1 to 2 bananas
vanilla ice cream - 2 scoops
hersheys - to taste - squirt for 2 seconds about
Milk - fill blender up about halfway.
Blend well. Split among 2 to 4.

really easy dessert that my mum makes, called 'Sweet and Sour Dessert'.
Bag of marshmallows, cut up into halves.
Tin/can of mandarin segments, drained.
Tin/can of other fruits (mum generally uses raspberries or another red berry); make sure they're drained aswell.
Tub of sour cream.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. It tastes better when you leave it overnight apparently. (I'm the only one in my family who's not a fan, but everyone else loves it!!!)
I think I got all that right...
Enjoy!!
