Default effect of pregnancy on immune system

Is the fact that I am preggy affect my immune system is a good way? What I mean is, Katlyn got a bad tummy bug, MIkey caught it from her, so far I have a stomach ache. But nothing like what they have been through. Is it less likely for me to get sick?
A good friend suggested its could be because pregnant women normally take good care of themselvles.

You also have more blood in your thus more T-blood cells that help ward off infections/bugs

I know....we have a Norwalk bug right now in the city so I don't want to take the kids in for anything. We'll stay in town where they won't get sick from that.

Hope Katlyn gets better soon...is she able to keep anything down yet?
