Default Empty Toilet Paper Rolls

It will happen before you know it,
in the bathroom there is an empty toilet paper roll
hanging.

Who normally will place a fresh roll back on?

Usually it is the Mom at the home.

Sometimes it is the Dad at the home.

You know when you have crossed over that hump,
when your children do it.

It is not highly technical.
Just about anybody can do it.

Well, my 18 yo has learned to do it now with
no prompting or scolding.

DH noticed this unusual phenominia.

Education and parenting will pay off.

This is proof!

way to go DS! shockingly, since we moved and the toilet paper's in a hutch, DH will take out a new roll when it's empty. he doesn't put it on, but no need to press my luck [today anyway].

There is hope after all! I've resorted to keeping the toilet paper package in reach of the toilet because WITHOUT FAIL if I rush into the bathroom in a hurry & barely get my pants down before I start to tinkle...the roll is empty. EVERY time. grrrr

This is too funny...b/c the other day I was thinking about posting something about TP rolls too!! Great minds think alike right Angie?? And fools seldom....well I like the first one better.... I have an old wooden magazine rack that I now use within 1/2 an arms reach of where one is sitting and it holds (when full) 9 rolls of TP ( I know I just filled it!!)!!! But...to my astonishment(not really!!)...there are still times that there will be an empty roll hanging there..with the itty bitty scraps that not even a mouse would find worthy????!!! It isn't even one of those "difficult..need a power tool to remove and insert roll" holder...you simply lift up, put roll on and place back down...How hard is that??? Not only that but when the rack isn't full or dwindles down to the last roll....who goes into the cupboard which is one step away from the rack and restocks it.....me that's who....like I had to tell you that!!! Occasionally I will get a pleasant surprise...(other than the seat being down...which I must say I have my men trained properly and no longer have to worry about falling in in the middle of the night b/c somebody forgot to put it down!!!) and there will be a fresh roll on the holder...

Okay here is a question for you...do you let the paper hang down the back or in the front...? The way I like it is hanging down the back..it is easier to pull off and find... I think...so it must be the right way!!! I also read in a magazine once that that was the way to do it... So how does it "hang" in your bathroom???

I always have to change it. When it gets low, I'll even put a spare roll on top of the toilet tank so that whoever uses the old one up can change it. Well, everyone will continue using it and placing it back on the toilet tank! I went about three days like this before I gave in and put it on myself!

I keep a spare roll in the front bathroom too.

MIL crocheted a TP cover in my bathroom colors of
gray/blue and rose. It is similar to this:

Angie,

I laughed so hard reading your post. Neither of my children have ever learned the art of hanging toilet paper.

Both girls were in honor society in school. Both girls can use any electronic equipment you put in front of them. Both girls have jobs. Yet neither can hang a roll of toilet paper....and it gets worse....

Neither can take the empty roll and put it into the recycle bin. I sometimes go into their bathroom and there on the sink are 3 empty rolls neatly lined up...just waiting for the roll fairy to come along and pick them up.....miracously...that darn fairy does come through once a week or so and hangs the toilet paper and takes out the empty rolls.

Yep...I laughed reading your post.

See, Audrey, we can all appreciate the wisdom of TP!
