James birthday was last month. He received a lot of toys for his birthday. DH and I decided not to open all the toys up at one time because James won't be playing with them all at one time, this way his birthday will last a little longer.

The other night we opened up a toy that is clearly stamped Exclusively at Target. It's a cute toy. It's a drop and slide catepiller. We tried to put it together but the pieces were made backwards and he can't play with it. So we boxed it all back up. DH went to Target to today to exchange it and he was told the toy was discontinued and without a receipt they will not take it back.

It has the Target logo on it!!! They should take it back! I called the person who gave it to him, and she is going to see if she still has the receipt, but it's been over a month!

What makes it worse is that I just found it on their website!!!!

Sometimes when I have a broken product and store won't take it back b/c I don't have the receipt, I buy a new one and use that receipt to return the broken one.

I figured out what Target did. They still sell the toy but under the Circo name not Infantino! So I bought the toy in hopes that the toys are interchangeable.

Ya. You also the victim as myself. The same i experienced shortly. There was no way actually, so unfortunately you have to keep it up.
