Default Expecting lifts from married daughter...

I live 15 kms away from the rest of my family & usually go over on weekends, but don’t have a car, so I’m often relying on lifts to get back home (especially lately that I‘ve been tagging my dog along)…
My sister often gives me lifts, but lately has had car problems & avoids using the car, so she & my mother keep on insisting that I should ask my married daughter to take me & the dog back home. My daughter doesn’t want to take the dog in her car – I think that maybe her husband doesn’t want the animal in there – and since I don’t want to create problems in their marriage I don’t ask for that favour…
I can’t use public transportation & cab service is way off limits & they don’t let animals in…I usually walk, but when it’s raining it’s kind of complicated to go that far.
Anyway, what do you guys think?
Thanks for the feedback

Welcome to the board!

Another option would be to leave your dog at home for the day, while you visit
family & friends.
Maybe the dog hair is an issue in the car.

What about getting a bike? That might be an idea for you.

Thanks for your input!
I do have a bike & was using it before the dog entered my life...this is one of the thousands of abandonned dogs tha roam our streets, she's been with me since Sept,2009 & I still don't have a secure place to keep her overnight (I always lock her up at night because of the stray dogs that come around) while I am away (I can't do the hilly bike ride both ways in one day)...
My question in this forum was regarding the issue of my mother & sister finding that I should demand lifts from my married daughter who already told me that they (daughter & husband) don't want dogs in the car.
Thanks
