Ok went to combine the two $5 rr Kelloggs deals with coupons and the Kelloggs rebate today. They actually had everything in stock I wanted

So it started off well. Got to register and the gal was very nice and rang me up very nicely. I got 6 pop tarts, 2 smart starts, 1 fruit loops and 1 frosted flakes. Only 1 $5 rr printed, so we looked at the ad and she agreed I should have gotten 2 but I'd need to see a manager, ok so I have her ring up my second order (2 boxes trash bags, $5 ea) and pay using the one $5 rr and $5 + change in cash (I had wanted to use the 2 $5 rr here to pay only tax, but didn't want to hold up the line). So I pay and pull off to the side. The manager comes over to another register and looks at the ad and says oh it says right here, only 1 rr coupon per offer. I say yes, these are two offers so it should have printed 2, they can't seriously want us to hold up the line to do each offer seperatly when there are many offers in the ad, I think one of the flavors of something I bought wasn't programmed in right.
So then he looks at my receipt and trys to tell me it's because I used coupons. Nope, I told him, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the one I did.
Ok, he says, we'll have to void this transaction and ring the cereal seperate from the poptarts. Ok, that's fine, I say. To do that took him literally 10 mins. Then we had to go back to the original cash register so the coupon/drawer would match at the end of the night. So he rings the cereal first, and no rr. Then he starts to tell me there is nothing he can do, to which I start giving him solutions (give me back the other $5 rr or $5 cash). Then I also offer him, try ringing just 4 frosted flakes and see what happens. He finally reluctantly did so and finally a $5 rr popped out, then he rerang the pop tarts and another $5 rr popped out.
This whole mess (which if the other manager had been there would have fixed in less than 3 mins) ended up taking close to 25 mins or so (cost me my trip to Target for DH's razors).
So in the end I would have made $3 on this deal (combining with kelloggs mir), but since he gave me an extra rr and also handed me a $1 change (not sure why, but by that time I wasn't going to complain), so now I'll have made $9 on the deal, but it wasn't worth the time for this guy to try to figure stuff out.
So either the fruit loops or the smart start cereal (I think it's the ss) didn't work even though they were both in the ad.
