Default Extreme dizziness...HELP!

Ok it started yesterday while I was at work...
I was just sitting at my desk and I became extrememly dizzy. Especially if I moved my head up or down. I could barely even lay down to rest when I got home. I kept running into everything, everything was spinning. It was awful.
Well I am not feeling as bad today , but I am still dizzy.
Has anyone experienced this at or around 6 weeks?

Are you nauseous? If you're nauseous and you're not eating as much. . .I would guess that your blood sugar is low. Have a snack and some water and see if that helps.

I am really nauseas and have vomited, but before I became dizzy, I had just eaten crackers and cheese and was drinking a bottle of water at the time!
I am confused. After I got dizzy, that is when i vomited. I hope there is nothing wrong

It sounds like an inner ear problem. I had that a few years ago and I felt as if I was drunk. Dizzy, kept running in to things, nauseous, and when I laid down everything would spin. Most of the time this problem will resolve on its own. A doctor may suggest a trial of antihistamine and anti-nausea medications to decrease symptoms, but since you’re pregnant I’m not sure what they would do. They best thing would be to talk to your doctor about your symptoms. Hope you feel better.

i used to get the same way with both pregnancies

i remember one afternoon i had Jae outside and literally had to crawl up our 2 flights of steps and fainted at the top in my living room. They said it was low blood sugar and keep peanut butter crackers around at all times. OJ would have helped if it didnt make my blood sugar shoot up WAY to fast, then Id get dizzy form that as well. Ice cold water always seemed to help a lot. Good luck, when its hot out it will be worse! Peanut butter crackers and water.....keep them in a bag or purse!!!

If you are eating alot of crackers, dry food, you could be dehydrated...I know it sounds weird even if you are taking alot of water but the pregnancy could be using that us right away. Try drinking gatorade...alot quickly....that will hydrate you and hopefully make you feel better.

Default Thanks all

And you know I am feeling a good bit better today.
My coworker reported to me today that she was also extrememly dizzy for two days, and described it just like it felt to me. Maybe it was a virus???
Who knowS. we work at the wic office around lots of kids. we get loads of germs!

where do you live? i know in the DE/philly area (could be more widespread, i just know this area for a fact) has a weird virus going around that affects the inner ear. my mother's friend's mom (catch that? lol) had some sort of balance/standing issues because of it. the doctor said it was this virus that's going around, i don't think he ever gave a name for it though. (at least the name wasn't relayed to me).
