Try Keri lotion if they have it there, regular old vaseline works wonderful on african american skin, or even palmers coco butter, could he be allergic to something.

Thank you so much for all your help. I decided to take a drastic step and take him off all dairy products. In only one full day, his face is completely clear, his nose is not congested, and he's actually a happy baby!!! Is my imagination taking over, or can he have such a drastic change in just one day?!?! Am I causing him to be missing any nutrients by taking him off the formula and putting him on soy milk? The doctor said I could transition him to whole milk this month --- but to soy milk? Are the nutrients similar?

not sure about the nutritional value of soy milk but if the doctor says you can start him on cows milk maybe that would be better becasue you know that he needs the nutrients in cows milk.

I do believe he could have allergies to other things like laundry detergent, try to wash his clothes in ivory snow detergent and i swear by vaseline the non-scented type it is really good for dry skin and it helped with the little eczema my son had on his elbows and butt.

Before you buy products for you baby, make sure that product are safe on his/her skin. The skin of the babies are sensitive, so choose only the right products for your baby.
