Default Facial Soap

Hello everyone, let me start off by saying hello to everyone because I'm new. I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend a good facial soap I can find in stores that can clear blemishes and exfoliate the skin?

I use Nuetrogena. They have a bar that I like and they have a cleanser in a light blue pump that works great too.

proactive worked wonders for me until i got pregnant. now i use clinique 3-step system, it works better & lasts longer. while it is kinda pricey (about $50), i use it every day and haven't had to buy more since april and i still have a little over 1/4th left for each bottle/bar. so say it takes me a full 6 months to completely run out, that's less than $10 a month. i've found that anything i buy from the drug store (whether it's clearasil, neutrogena, loreal or even aveeno) just dries my skin out wayy too much.

I like Burt's Bees exfoliating soaps (peppermint or citrus spice). While they're not specifically labeled for clearing up acne, or even as a facial soap, per se, I have found they are really working well on my skin. They are exfoliating soaps though, kind of abrasive, so they may not be for everyone.

Anything with salicylic acid in it works great! Oh, and sulfur. I had a face cleaner at one time with sulfur (can't remember which kind, it has since been discontinued) that did an awesome job. It's very hard to find anything that has the sulfur or a derivation of it....you have to look at the ingredients. I don't think it's recognized really as one of the better acne fighting ingredients, but it sure helped me out.
I have never thought that benzoyl peroxide worked for me, just dried out my skin.

It sounds like you need something like Neutrogena's body clear. We buy the generic CVS/publix/walgreens brand that has the same ingredients.

It has those tiny particles in it that exfoliate (just be gentle) and also salicylic acid to help keep pores from clogging up.

Try to let the face wash sit on your face for a few seconds so the s. acid works it's way into the pores.

If it irritates your face, switch to a gentle face wash with salicylic acid but none of the scrubbing particles. Sometimes I only use the exfoliating face wash once a week.

I use my own stuff that I sell...but...I have heard of this new Acne fighting system that is available at most stores (I saw it at Walmart today). It's called AcneFree Severe, and it looks like it would be pretty good.

Hi...

Basis all clear face soap. You can buy it anywhere: grocery store, Wal-Mart, drug store... It's very good! Here's some info:
Basis all clear soap is a glycerin bar with citrus astringents and tea oil for the clearest clean ever. This hard-working, extra-gentle glycerin bar contains fast-acting tea tree oil and bacteria-fighting triclosan and astringents. Helps control oil, breakouts and shine. Gives skin new clarity and brightness. Skin is clean and all clear ahead.
