Thanks for the thread M...I'll do my best.
Who's missing out on the real truth? Well let's see. How much do you rely on science in your everyday life? How much do you believe in this science that you use every day.
Here's a few sciences that Christians accept in their every day lives without question:
Theory of electromagnetism:
Theory of gravity:
Quantum theory:
Germ Theory:
Thermodynamics:
Photosynthesis:
Periodic Table of the Elements:
Theory of Relativity:
Acoustics Theory:
Chaos Theory:
Number theory:
Cell Theory:
Decision theory:
Circuit Theory:
...but:when it comes to Big Bang theory we get:
Science is evil and filled with atheists who want to destroy Christianity everywhere and how can they believe in the Big Bang when no one was around to see it.
When it comes to Theory of evolution we get:
Science is evil and filled with atheists who want to destroy Christianity everywhere and those dinosaur bones were put there by Satan to trick us.
So, in general, science is great and one of the best means of understanding our universe unless it contradicts the writings of ancient goat herders. Then it's evil and wrong.
On the other hand what "truth" does faith offer. The answer is none at all. That's what faith is.....believing something is true when there is absolutely no evidence that it is true. You see. ....if there was any truth connected to faith, it wouldn't be faith would it, it would be fact.
