Default Family movies

Can anyone recommend movies that would be suitable for a family to watch together. I have three boys 9, 11, and 13.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Lovliness - there is a really good movie out with Dean Cain that is Dove approved (I don't know if that's important to you or not) called Ace of Hearts. It is a story that involves the family trying to keep their dog from being put down (relax - it's not scary like that or anything).

The production company developed a Junior Detectives Guide to go along with it and it should keep the kids busy while excercising the old noggin' Here's the link if you want it: http://www.foxfaith.com/search.php?s=guides

Peace and blessings

Cars... It's a great movie! It's got something for young and old... my step son ((2)) LOVES it as well as my 14 year old brother!

i want to share this cute puppy video i found. it's not really a movie but still has movie-length scenes with puppies and kittens. it's really fun and heartwarming at the same time, especially watching with kids. i shared this to my daughter and husband we had a great time.

Default Studio Ghibli Movies Great for the Family

I'm always recommending movies by Studio Ghibli for anyone, families or college students or single marrieds or anyone. Those written and/or directed by Miyazaki are the best. They are in Japanese BUT when you get the dvd's you can select the English dubs. The dvds of most of the movies are available in stores or at video rental places because Disney distributes the movies in the States.

Some of Miyazaki's films probably wouldn't interest your boys: Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro; they'd be more for younger children or girls, I think.

With boys at those ages I would recommend Spirited Away. It's the most popular film in the States; it even won the best animated film Oscar. Other ones your boys might like are Howl's Moving Castle and Castle in the Sky. Your thirteen year old might also enjoy Princess Mononoke or Nausicaa.

Of course anything by Pixar is also fantastic. But Miyazaki is really underappreciated so I love to recommend him.
