Finger foods
What finger foods are good for a 7 month old? K does well with the puffs and I KNOW she enjoys feeding herself. We don't do biter biscuits or such because I've read too many stories of large pieces falling off and the baby choking.
She loves carrots- I was thinking about cooking them extra long and dicing in small pieces...hmm?!

We steam all kinds of veggies for Emma and she feeds them to herself. Also, fruit chunks (watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches, pears, bananas, etc.) are good. Oh, pasta, grilled cheese and pancakes/waffles are among some of her favs too.

I have burnt tons of carrots
Kaydee is eating chicken nuggest, hot dogs (skin pulled off and literally TORN into the tinest pieces she could possbily pickup), I bake French fries, tonight she had pasta noodles, she LOVES the Gerber Graduates Pasta Pickups (esp the plain cheese ones), every morning she has either toast or a waffle w/ her fruit, grilled cheese, pretty much everything Jaeclyn is eating, but very small.
and i must say she out-eats Jaecy

you figure out ways as you get used to her eating solids.. but here's what i can think of off the top of my head (sorry if there are any repeats from previous posters)
*clear throat & rattling off as fast as possible*..... string beans (green beans depending where you come from), fries, graduate lil crunchies, fruit cereal bars, strips of grape jelly OR orange marmalade sandwich (messy), pretzel sticks, goldfish, cheerios, whole grain crackers, cantaloupe, potatoes in just about any form (i think i started with the inside of baked potatoes), pasta pasta pasta - spaghetti;mac & cheese; pasta salad; lasagna; ziti; tortellini, chicken in small pieces. okay, i've taken up enoguh room. Thanks. I am just being a bit overly cautious- because I am paranoid about her choking! ! Pasta cut up should be good, though! Thanks again, Ladies!

well i just found one i DONT recommend!!!!! I tried those Gerber Graduates Yogurt drop things....not a good idea. Kaydee had one in her mouth (thank goodness I watch her eat everything!) And they literally turn to like a thick juice in their mouths...well i guess she thought it was time to swallow and swallowed all the juice at once and started choking...not like something was stuck choking, but the juice was making it hard for her to breath....finally I threww her over my knee and was smacking her back hard enough that all the juices came flying out of her mouth
She screamed for awhile and is still all sweaty and bright red
i threw them in the trash

Good to know Rhi! I was going to buy them yesterday but opted for ANOTHER canister of little puffs.
Kal choked on a graham cracker today! He has had them for months and i guess he is now learning to bite instead of just suck on them. Anyways he had a HUGE piece stuck and ended up puking all over his tray. LOVELY! l.o.l.
