Ok, so, those of you that live in the South will know just how bad a fire ant bite can be. Poor Tiffany managed to get bit 8 times.
Yep, not one, not 2, but 8 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poor baby. It is on the back of her ankle. She is miserable.
She didn't seem to notice during the day. It swelled up, and she couldn't wear her shoes....which she was upset about, since she usually gets a pair and brings them to me to wear. today we couldn't do that and she was mad!!!!!
But they didnt' seem to bother her till bedtime. She laid down, went to sleep and then 1/2 hour later woke up crying. I gave her Tylenol......cuz I didn't know if I could give her anything else. And that seemed to do the trick as she slept for 4 hours.....but now she is up again! I went into her room and she pointed to her bites and said something to me. (not able to understand much of what she says......I think she is in the process of making up her own language!!!! lol) But it seems to be bothering her. It isn't like her to wake up this much either.
Poor baby.
I hate fire ants. I don't even know how these got her. It was either when I let her walk out to the car (like every other day of our lives) or at my mom's house....she watched her for a little while today. (on the back lanai??) It doesn't really matter where it happened, it is too late now.
Does anyone know how to stop the itching????? My mom swears white vinigar works...... I tried it on her, and she is laying down right now........ but in the mean time, does anyone have any other suggestions? I need to check to see if we even have any benedryl cream. But if I put that on it she will be touching it and then putting her fingers in her mouth.........yuck.
Any help is appreciated.
