Foods that Fight Cancer
This article says that the best and least expensive way to fight cancer may be to eat healthy. It talks about filling our plate with lots of plants, eating folate-rich foods (vitamin B), cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, etc.), Curcumin, and Ginger.

I try and take in as many green leafy veggies and antioxidants that I can. I am actually working for Snapple to promote their new Antioxidant Water, so I've been loading up lately! Its tasty without being overpowering, and it is packed with cancer-fighting antioxidants. Also, add blueberries to your list above. I've spent far too much time in the sun as a kid so I need all the cancer fighting food i can get my hands on. Woo-hoo blueberry pankcakes!

Another option is to follow the Mediterranean diet. The diet includes higher amounts of fruits, vegetables, cereals, and less red meat. The benefits of a Mediterranean diet are not just confined to healthy weight loss. According to a new research, the diet rich in fruit and vegetables can also cut the risk of cancer by 12 per cent.

I've heard this from ovarian cancer research advocates too. Also, cutting refined sugar, etc. Those things seem to feed tumor growth.

Ahhh those that are not scientists writing scientific reports, don't trust a word they say. They could happily publish an article claiming that oxygen is the main cause of cancer and it would be about as factual as things already mentioned in this thread.

I agree that eating healthy food and engaging in some form of exercises are
some of contributing factors to fight cancer.

Hi,
Interesting article, I would just like to mention that the foods listed in that article are all acidic in nature. Over consumption of these foods will turn the body's pH level acidic which is the perfect environment for cancer cells to grow. Keeping the body's pH level balanced at around "7" greatly reduces the risk of cancer.

If the report were written in a scientific journal by scientists, I doubt many people could follow it. Thus, we get an article written by a non-scientific person for non-scientific people, highlighting the main findings of the scientists.
People that haven't made the connection between diet/nutrition and health are in denial. It's amazing how you can alter your health with proper nutrition. And, like Nathan pointed out, it is best to eat your veggies and fruits.
