On October 15, at 7:00 pm in all time zones, families around the United States will light candles in memory all of the precious babies that have been lost during pregnancy or in infancy. Too many families grieve in silence, sometimes never coming to terms with their loss.
If you or someone you know has suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss due to SIDS, prematurity or other cause, we hope you will join us in this national tribute to create awareness of these tragic infant deaths and provide support to those that are suffering.
I am taking Katelyn this year with me. They do a service at our hospital....and have started a garden for the babies too with rocks and their names on them...dh will miss it though because he just started a new job.
Thanks for reminding everyone!!!!! I can't believe its been another year already!!!! Oct 16th & 17th is when i lost my triplets so i will surely be lighting my candles, Thanks again.
Kara, I should check to see if the hospital, where I gave birth to KJ, does anything like that. If not, might be something to keep my mind occupied to see if I can organize something!
I was just about to post about Babyloss Awareness Week 9th - 15th October and no matter what your time zone is.... 7 pm your time to light a candle for all those babies that have been lost through either miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death..
In the Uk most towns have services that anyone can go along to and light a candle to remember their own lost baby or anyones baby (you dont have to have suffered a baby loss to get involved)
