Default Fred Meyer Rewards Card Program

It seems Fred Meyer is rolling our their rewards card program now. I've been wondering when it would finally happen. You earn 1 point for every $5 and if within 13 weeks (a quarter) have you have 100 points, you receive a $5 rebate in the mail.

So basically, you have to spend $500 to earn 1% back. Doesn't seem like a good deal, but I wonder if the amount spent is before or after coupons. This would make a difference.

Default RE: Wonder if...

Looks like points do not roll over...copied the following from their web site;

[i]Accumulate points in every department except Fred Meyer Jewelers. Also excluded are: fuel, prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, postage stamps, Gift Cards, lottery tickets, Western Union, money orders, transit passes, fees, game licenses, phone activation, Ticketmaster and FMstore 24/7. At the end of each 13-week cycle, points are tallied and rebates are sent to those that qualify. Points are set to zero at the beginning of each new cycle.

Yeah, I kind of hoped it'd be better. I used to shop there all the time before I started couponing, now I pretty much just shop Safeway & Albertsons, and it looks like its gonna stay that way
