Default Free at Safeway

At CO Safways (ymmv):
Save $5.00 automatically WYB Any Electrasol automatic dishwashing detergent & 2 other listed items. If you buy the electrasol for 3.49 (75oz powder or gel or 20 count tabs) and use the .75/1 coupon 4/10 SS makes it 2.49. Get 2 of the spray n wash stain removers at 1.99 each (sale), use the .50/1 any S&W from the 5/1SS to make it $1.98 for the both of them.
Total 2.49+1.98= $4.47 - 5.00 instantly =.53 credit. Now, most of the credit will be used up in tax, but you get all 3 items free.
Our total for the 1 Electrasol and 2 spray N wash came to 4.93 after coupons then -5.00, so we did get .07 credit. You might want to get a cheep item so there is not a negative balance. The deal is legit though, so they can squawk all they want.

Smile Re: Free at Safeway

Hi Cyndi,

I was able to use this deal several times because the ad does not say one per card or household. Also I noticed if I went a new store that doubles coupons here in Colorado the deal worked with my card for the 1st order.
I'm stocked on dishwasher soap now

Try to stay cool today another hot day

Thanks for posting this! I did this once this morning, and would like to do it again. Does it automatically work a second time or do you need to point it out to the cashier? Thanks!

You have to show the ad, then I called customer service they said it should work becuase it does not show on per card or limit etc.

I have 8 cards, so we did it 8 times. I dont think we are going to do it anymore. We still have a ton of free electrasol from the $2 coupons last year. I do think it will only work once per card though. They will have to discount it for you b/c it doesnt say 1 per household like the suave did last week.

Heather, where are you in CO?
Yes, the weather is crazy. Went from 50s to 90s in the Springs, with only a few days in the 70s. Not usually this hot until late June. I know 90s is not "hot" b/c I am from Phoenix. I have been out here just over 5 years now and I am a big baby. Have the ACs in the windows already.

I did this deal yesterday at Dominicks (Chicago area).

Wasn't FREE, but $1.57 including tax is not too bad.

Something to note: apparently the registers were not set up to do this deal. I had to void out the transaction and go to the service desk and go thru a whole rigamorole as to how to interpret the deal.

For small deals like this one, it's almost not worth the effort.

Hi Cyndi,

Since I heard about the $2.00 coupon last year and how great it was, I just really started in Feb. this year with being really great at coupons. I'm up in Thornton and I'm from N.J. prior to our move here 2 years ago. However I was born and raised in California (Victorville area). I'm glad to be close to home now with my son being autistic we can drive, no way he could ever fly. Yesterday we left the A/C off and no way was I going to do that again!!! OK how do I get more than 2 cards per household? I see your post often you are on great coupon queen!!!

Take care,
Heather

We just signed up at each Safeway we went to. We would both go to the CS line first & fill out another form. We varied our names (like Cynthia, Mary, Cyndi, Marianne) and used our kids/pets names. We did keep the same address on all of them (in case they send coupons). They give you a card that works right away. You could just make up the info if you wanted to. We have several new Albertsons cards too. They are always just sitting around in stacks by the uscans at our Albertsons. IMO, that is the way it should be. I think if people dont want to give out their personal information they shouldn't have to. Everyone should still be able to get the sales, weather they give the information or not.

I did this deal in Sac, CA today. It did not work 3 of the 4 times because our Safeway NEVER has things programmed properly. They know that however and almost always adjust teh price manually if you can showe them the ad (which they usually never have!) It generally works out pretty well for us, cuz I can go back and figure out which product it gave me credit for and then complete the deal with less stuff.

I also have several Safeway cards just because they seem to make up thier own rules on how many times you can do a deal. I go by what is printed in the ad and use a different card each time.
