Default Game Crazy Flat Out Refused

I'm very angry! With his birthday money, my husband purchased the new PSP pack for 250 dollars at Game Crazy. It's a wonderful system, except that in his there's a dimple right in the middle of the screen, which is magnified and becomes quite inconvenient when the game is on.

Yesterday, he went to exchange the defective product for another one. They told him that they don't handle that, that Sony is the one to contact about screen problems.

Any of you who have tried to work with Sony on defective products will understand how much of a pain and a financial inconvenience this would be. So, after reading both our receipt and the warranty we purchased (for an extra 20 dollars) and seeing that both explicitly stated that GAME CRAZY would replace the defective product, we returned today.

This time they told us that the receipt and the warranty (both of which are legal contracts) EXCLUDE the PSP and screen defects.
I just stared at the assistant manager. Finally I said, "So what you're saying is that these two contracts YOU produced both have these giant loopholes that appear nowhere on the document and that we did not agree to. Is that correct?"

He said yes, basically that was it.

Their argument is that they and Sony agreed that Sony would handle all screen complaints. My argument is that I didn't make any such agreement with Sony. My contract was with Game Crazy and any agreements they made with Sony are theirs and Sony's problem. I feel that since both the warranty and the receipt explicitly state, with no exclusions, that they will exchange defective products, they can't simply say, when we try to make them fulfill their contract, "oh, except that. We're just not going to honor it on THIS particular issue."

I'm very, very angry.
