Lightbulb Game Plan for the next yr.

I went yesterday for my PP appointment and talked with my dr. She said that everything looks good, but would like me to wait til the start of next yr to try for another baby. Just to make sure my body is fully healed, and she waits me to drop some weight. I totally knew I wanted to drop some of that before the next one. *lol*
So here's the game plan. Work on losing weight; I'm not setting an amout cause then If I don't make I don't want to get upset about it. I started back on my metformin today for my insulin resistance, and help lose some lbs. And if my insurance covers it, she wants me to go on an Meranen *sp?*, but if it won't we might try Nuva Ring...
I figured it took me like 7mo to get pg with the 2nd pg **M/C** and just over a yr with my son so there should be about a 2yr gap give or take and I won't miss out on anything with him.=)

Now to wait for AF to show up and go from there. *lol*

Mirena IUD is what I think your talking about. I wouldnt get it but thats just me. I know 5 people who got it. And now know 5 people who have either had it removed since it kept slipping out of place or the other 3 that needed to have D&C's because it slipped and then embeded in their uterus'. My SIL being one of them and she is a divorced mom of three with barely any income and no health insurance.

Really? I hadn't hear anything like this before... I know a few ppl that have it and love it.
But thanks for the heads up, I'm still not 100% sure if I'm going that route. This does give me some more to think about it though.

I had the Murena IUD inserted after my son was born, and kept it in for 4 1/2 years. It was amazing, and I throughly enjoyed not having to remind myself to take a pill, or anything like that. Just make sure you keep up with your well woman exams, or if you are experiencing anything uncomfrotable you let the dr know. I would reccommend it in a heart beat. The best part... in the 4.5 years i had it, i had the lightest periods, or nothing at all. It was taken out without any complications, just when i had my exam. Some say it was painful...but really, what is more painful than labor anyway? It was just uncomfortable, like getting a pap.
