Iowa is not Massachussets. It will be interesting to see how this works out there. I think appeals are planned, but meantime, people are applying for marriage licenses.

Oh wow, I think this is exciting. I hope it works out and same sex marriages become legal! My opinion only of course.

I read that some 27 couples requested licenses, but only one was married before it was stopped.
So, if they are married in Iowa.....what about the surrounding states?
If these married, same sex couples go to a different state, is their marriage legal?
Or only in Iowa?

i'm pretty sure other states have to honor it, but i've been wrong before
