Our budget deficits are at astronomic heights, and someday our creditors (aka, Chinese banks) will call in these loans, and our children will suffer for it. FEMA was intentionally disabled in the beginning of this administration because the people in charge didn't like "big guvment," and so we weren't equipped to handle Katrina. And I defy anyone to look closely at Florida in 2000 -- especially the "purging" of thousands of African-American voters from the registration lists -- and tell me there was no election fraud. Since 9/11, the right wing nutjobs have invoked that day over and over again in order to score political points and shove backwards policies through Congress, all while appearing to be tough and consistent when in fact it's called stubbornness and arrogance. George W. Bush and his puppetmasters are the worst thing that has happened to this country in my lifetime -- and the saddest fact of all is we've got another two and a half years of these people.
