start out by looking up nearby agencies...if u are near a major city, thats where you want to look! DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING! It will be harder at that age because they will want you to pay for headshots and such--you MIGHT have to...but if an agency wants her bad enough they will pay for it. I had to pay for my own headshots, but a lot of companies will pay for it up front , then take it out of first checks. This is normal. Good thing about under 4 yr old is they do not need the headshots because they change so fast. HTH

You may want to get some head shots done yourself, that way you're sure that you're not being pressured to get some by a company that stands to profit if you do, kwim?

All I can say is if they try to charge you it's a scam scam SCAM. Try local agencies and submit her photos to bigger agencies online. OMP might do kids, I'm not sure? (onemodelplace.com)

i agree, never pay for anything. there's a site (gotta ask a friend for it) that has a lot of photographers listed. about half are college students, so if you end up finding one you like, it's close to a gold mine. they'll call you when they have a project, so you'll build up a diverse portfolio quickly. once you meet one, you'll meet a ton more. GL, i'll try to find that site for you. i'm not sure if they have a canadian division though
