Gluten free
I am totally confused. My whole life I've been taught that grains and fibre, whole wheat breads are good for you. Suddenly, there seems to be this craze of gluten free diets. I have 6 or 7 friends that tell ma that gluten makes them feel bloated and sluggish. They've been told that they are gluten-sensitive. My question is this: Is this a new fad like 'no carbs' and the 'pritikin diet'? or is it possibly something in the recent processing of wheat products that is making bread more difficult to digest?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
