Default Going back to work?

Have any of you working mommies been out of the work force for a number of years and then get back into it?
How did you deal with getting used to people again?
Was it hard to get out of your "stay at home mom" habits?
How did your kids deal with the change?

It wasn't that hard. I think people just tell themselves it is hard. If you know you have to work then you will do it. It will be hard being away from the kids but you will get used to it. I am a working mum and its hard but you are doing something good that will benefit your kids in the long run.

I'm not actually a working mum but I have seen how lives can change when the woman of the house goes back to work. Usually the man cant cope and hence as a result a nanny needs to be hired. However, if you're children are a little older then I feel that there could be a routine in place - where all members of the family can learn to cope without you. I imagine it is hard but change could be what you need right now.
