going crazy Update! 12/08/2008
I'm not even sure how long its been since I was put on bed rest but it feels like time is really dragging!! I've been literally in a laying position for far too long and it hurts. My computer is being fixed and I'm using my mom's so I can't use a lot of things I normally would (aim & other games she just doesn't want on here)I am so tired of doing nothing but reading and playing games and watching movies. Its so hard to watch my mom take care of Kate and poor Kate is driving me nuts with the "Come here mommy!!" It would be nice if she would just understand that I can't. Besides it is really becoming very difficult to actually get up...It hurts alot down there but so far they think its ok. I go see my specialist tomorrow. Wish me lots of luck!!

Sorry to hear you're going nuts hun. I can totally relate to the "come here mommy" too... My little girl does that to me all the time when I'm trying to just rest. Hope you start feeling better soon and time starts flying by more!

So at my appointment my cervix shortened again...and its open a finger tip. They kept me all day monitoring me and gave me 3 shots of turbuline (sp?) They said I wasn't having contractions but I had a iritable uterus??? Not sure what it all means yet but I'm going to look it up. So I am home again for now. I go see my reg OB on wed n have to make an appointment to see the specialist next week.

Wow! That is a lot of doctor visits! Yuck! I had lots of shots of Terbutelene when I was pregnant with Alex. Not too much fun. Irritable uterus sounds annoying. That means that, even though you're not having contractions, your uterus is still affecting your cervix? I've heard of this condition before, but I have no idea what it is... When you find out, let us know!

ok....I think it means that my uterus is contracting but not consistantly and it's not effecting my cervix but because my cervix is already open the contractions (no matter how inconsistant) do end up effecting my cervix. BUT it's not labor...I suppose it's bad cause it can lead to that or can tear the stitches. SO I probably have a infection or maybe need more water? or less of my dh (he stresses me out) I don't know the cause but those could be it. I see my doc wed though...So I will make sure they do lots of tests.

I remember, when having my NSTs, that sometimes they would mention that I had 'irritability', but if there was no consistency to it, not to worry. But, I didn't have the problems with my cervix that you have. This is probably a dumb question, but how can it be open a fingertip, if you had the stitch??

It's not a dumb question. I am not honestly sure myself but I do know there are different types of stitch out there and I dont know which I got. I asked last time I saw them but they didn't have the info! either it's pulling on the stitches and tearing slightly (which I don't think because I've had no bleeding) OR it was made so it can open a little? Or it was always left open a little. I think as long as I have no bleeding I should be ok but I don't know...I haven't felt anything happening.
