Default Granola/Granola bar recipes

I used to have a really great recipe for homemade granola, but lost it long ago, and haven't found anything like it. Does anyone have a good recipe for granola or granola bars? It's so expensive to buy, and I'd like to try and make it lower fat.

I love this recipe for granola bars and so do my kids:
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 t. vanilla
2 cups quick cooking oats
2 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal
Stir-ins: raisins, chopped nuts, coconut, wheat germ

Bring brown sugar and corn syrup to a boil in saucepan at medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Add oats and cereal, stirring until coated; let stand 10 minutes. Add stir-ins. Press mixture firmly into a 13x9 inch pan and cool. Cut into bars and wrap tightly in plastic wrap.

Granola:
1 cup raisins
8 cups oatmeal
6 cups wheat flakes
2 cups wheat germ
2 cups coconut
3 t. salt
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup canola oil
1 cup water
3 t. vanilla

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Spread on a cookie sheet and bake for 4 hours at 225 degrees, turning every half hour.

I don't make this one much because we have a Winco here that sells great granola in bulk that is pretty low-fat.
