Great aunt and uncle in same day
My great aunt was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 3 weeks ago, and just passed away during the night. Her husband followed a few hours later. They will have a double funeral. its tough enough to deal with one death, and now two. Poor guy had his heart broken. They were married 42 years. Please say a prayer for my grandma, who is very distraught. This was her sister.

Death is always hard but this is when you turn to your faith to make it through. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your losses {{{{{HUHS}}}}}} Did your great Uncle die from a heart attack? Something similar happened on my dad's side of the family. Keep your chin up, they are in a better place

About my uncle...they're not sure. He was old...and had been struggling with heart disease and diabetes for quite some time. I guess it was just right. Who will ever know?
I'm sad, but not extremely because I didn't know them well. I'm just sad for my grandma. Its hard to see her cry. I can imagine it would be very difficult to lose a close sibling!

Jean, somehow I missed this thread until tonight.
I am so very sorry for the loss of your great aunt and uncle.
Sometimes, when they have been married for a long time,
when one passes on to heaven,
the second one quickly follows.
I like to think that a broken heart occurs with the one left,
so they also go to be with their loved one in heaven too.
Can't you see both of them up in heaven, sitting in
one of those twin rocking chairs (like at Cracker Barrel),
rocking and holding hands.
(((Hugs)))
I'm so sorry.
