Default Had my hsg, finally

Well my hsg was booked in for today, and you all know the trouble getting to this point. (4th attempt, was booked in they rang 2 days before my visit to say they didn't actually do hsgs there, then when it was rebooked I turned up only to be told the equipment was broken, so I had to wait ANOTHER month til now).
I made it to the table with my dr ready to start and there was a big siren with attention this is the fire alarm WHAT THE? The dr and i just looked at each other like, you have got to be kidding, but then it was just a fire alarm test. Ha so funny.
Anyway my hsg is all clear and normal, and I can say that it was not at all painful or uncomfortable, a little bit of cramping when the dye went in, but really hardly noticeable at all and a little spotting during the day. Really a non event, pain wise so thats good. Now I am doing clomid and iui NEXT MONTH, I am so pleased that the this is happening so soon and I feel really excited that we are moving forward. I have come to terms with the fact that I am just not going to fall pg without intervention, and am willing to do fert treatment if it means having another baby.

Do any of you ladies have some advice about iui or clomid for the first time user. During the fertile time, can you BD or do you just do the iui only. He told me it was a 1 in 4 success rate, but the process actually washes and makes the sperm quality better for transfer, is this correct? So if my hubbys sperm is not playing the game, this will make it better quality, is that right? Or clean it up a bit? Thanks ladies and best wishes to you all.

they wash the sperm and check for the best candidates. Clomid isnt really a big deal the side affects are not always the best but most people dont really get bothered by them. My first round of clomid I got hot flashes and nothing else. But I also now know that clomid makes me REALLY irratable. My brother joked that once I got pregnant he knew who I was again. He said I was never the happy go lucky person I used to be. I hope that your IUI goes great and that you get your BFP. If you have real questions on IUI you could pm Jennifer. wanna be a young mother. She did IUI and knows more about it

I agree with Kristen, clomid makes me very moody. Other than that I didn't really notice much of anything. Good luck!!
