Well I've now found something that is WAY more painful than a kidney stone..Dear Lord in Heaven..I about cried my eyes out it hurt so bad! Good news is, the left tube is open..the right, however, is still debatable. Doc said that it's possible that enough of the dye forced it's way up thru the tube to get it opened, but we'd see if it worked for us if I'm PG w/in 3 months..if not, then I get to do a laparoscopy.. So, Metformin, HSG, and lotsa BD'ing for me!!!

We'll see how it goes, but I can tell ya'll one thing.. I NEVER want to have another HSG, but if we get PG because of it, it will all have been worth it!

Pain is a relative term.

What for some is a big 10, may only be a 3 -4 for others. Did you tell doc you were uncomfortable? He should have given you something to help w/ the discomfort. (((Hugs))) So sorry it wasn't as you'd hoped, Aunt!

But, maybe next month will be The Month for you! Sending Baby Dust your direction!

I had a hysteroscopy & bx, which is similar, but no dye in my tubes, in June, 06. Doing just the opposite, I needed to close down my business.

Think of it this way, it takes longer to open all the packages, get things prepared, than is does the part that is a bit uncomfortable.

Deep breath, in through your nose, out through your mouth with pursed lips, slowly.

Don't worry about having your procedure, Landj111! It'll go smoothly
and gets you one step closer to being pg!

My mom had 5 kids, and she said she was never so happy as she was to have her business closed down finally..makes me think all 5 of us gave her all that gray hair!

However, now 5 days past HSG..I have a question, and it's going to be WAY TMI..but you girls are the only ones I can ask today as the DR isn't in on Saturdays..
Any of you who have had an HSG before, did you have ...tissue-like discharge? I've searched the web, and the only thing I can find says that you sometimes will have the stuff that was blocking your falopian tubes in discharge..but this morning I was still having some of it..for the past 3 days it's been steady..it's not fresh bloody, doesn't look like it had a lot of blood in it when it was fresh, but it's just... gross *blehk*.. I apologize for the TMI, but I had to ask and have thought of no other way that's better to ask it. I've got no abdominal pain, discomfort, or fever..so I'm not sure what to think. I had a dream last night that I was pregnant even though the beta test was BFN, and the HSG ruined it.. so now I'm paranoid. Normal thoughts?
