Default Have you ever thrown a bday party for a cat?

I know people do it for dogs (my Murph even attended such a fiesta), but what about cats? Maybe not inviting other cats, but celebrating somehow anyway?

I'm wondering because Tab's bday is this Saturday. It got me thinking...

I haven't for my cat, but I don't see anything wrong with getting your kitty extra treats and toys on his/her birthday! How fun Maybe some cake for the humans in the house too!

I celebrate Cramer's (Solomon Island Eclectus) hatch day and gotchu day. His hatch day was 12/5/04, and his gotchu day (the day we picked him up at the airport) was 4/18/05. He gets parrot toys and extra treats (like mullet spray). And yes, bites of cake too. Just a little.

Oooh! I like the way you think. "Cake for the humans" I've forever got sweets on my brain!

You're Cramer sure is a lucky bird to get TWO celebrations! I bet he looks forward to those!!!

On a serious note, I do feel bad I didn't keep track of our "gotchu" date for Callie (our kitty cat). I know we've had her since 1996, and I think it was spring time, but that's all I know.

I'll be sure to get her a special treat as a little celebration of sorts this spring-time.

I am in the same boat with Mr. Meow! As much as I love that cat, for the life of me I don't remember the exact date he followed me up the stairs to our apartment. I know itwas in November and I'm pretty sure it was a Tuesday. I could've sworn I had written it in one of my journals, but I didn't.

That's in part why I made sure to document Tabby's date as well as I did. Same with Murph's.

Ooooh i did this!!!

My cat was turning one...very exciting lol. I made a cake out of the pet ice cream they sell here (Its some special milk and sugars thats OK for pets...) I sprinkled the dry cat food on top of that and lit a candle. I got her some presents and "invited" My other two cats. I think I was like 12, but I would do it again!

Haha. What a cute idea! Instead of like a real cake, either load up on a bunch of treats or get a can or two of one of those premium fancy feast foods.

Rhianna that is soooooo funny!

I've seen ice cream like that here in our stores but have never gotten any for the cats. Although, they would love it. Once in a while Wayne and I have an ice cream run to McDonald's for a cone and Mr. Meow (and now Tabby) are always right by my side trying to get some licks too.
