Hawaii vacation!
We spent a wonderful time in Hawaii last summer. Things I learned:
Maui is beautiful, but I recommend staying at the north end where the resorts are. There's more shopping and restaurants to enjoy. We stayed in the middle, near Kihei in a timeshare. We were always trying to find someplace to eat that wasn't just a little fast food joint.
Oahu is BIG city. Very different atmosphere. The famous Waikiki beach is crowded, but SO nice. The sand is soft and there is a breaker built to give a calm water area for the kids...no big waves from the ocean! There's expensive stores there and lots to see! We enjoyed shopping at the International Marketplace!
Don't miss the Polynesian Cultural Center there. It's so entertaining and educational! The kids won't be bored, there's too much to do there!
Don't forget to book a luau. The food and entertainment are fantastic. All of these activities can be booked online before you get to Hawaii!
