Exclamation Health hazards of cell phones

Everyone is aware that cell phone usage may promote diseases like brain cancer and tumors. However, I recently came across a report that suggested that radiation emissions from cell phones could be a catalyst for the early onset of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's and multiple sclerosis. Scarier still, these handsets harm areas of the brain related to memory, movement and learning.

However, cell phone makers insist that radiation emitted from cell phones are within safety limits and that even mild exercise is capable of heating your brain up to a greater degree.

Having said this, and knowing how important cell phones are, I think we should always make intelligent use of technology. If you do use a cell phone, keep it as far away from your body as possible and use the hands-free option instead. Moreover, the obvious solution seems to be not using it until it is really needed!
It would be great if anyone has anything else to contribute. Thanks!

Not that I think research studies like these should be completely disregarded, but I think that everything now and days causes something....everywhere you turn around there is another study that this thing causes that thing. My brother is a doctor, and once I was freaking out about something I had read, about a study and childhood cancer....my daughter met all of the criteria, so I called him and asked him what he thought. He said that so many studies are published in magazines and other places and they are not large enough to form conclusive evidence. They may lean one way or another, but they don't have enough information, the spectrum isn't broad enough to have it be reliable. The funny thing about this, I just read or heard on the news, I don't remember, of the exact opposite, that cell phones are completely safe, regardless of the accusations (a new study shows....imagine that!). I think everyone just needs to use common sense and caution if they are uncomfortable with it.

I would think if the risks were truly great, the technology would have already been improved. I have not heard of any solid evidence of this. I do agree that going hands free is a great idea, and there are many great new devices to use. Not to make light of the situation, but if what you say is true about cell phone use and Alzheimers, I'll probably be losing my mind any moment.
