And I hate it. I just learned there are plans to build a 49-home development right in my neighborhood.

I've lived here my whole life. Most of my neighbors have as well. On 3 sides, I'm bordered by 140 acres. The remaining side is the best set of neighbors anyone could ever ask for. We have an acre a piece, so it's not like we're on top of each other. It's perfect.

The surrounding area is farmland and woodland. Hills, valleys, and peace. We even have black bear in the neighborhood, and I LOVE it.

I DO NOT want a bunch of people living near me. This morning I cried my eyes out. I went for a jog, and realized my property value is going to go up. So I'm holding on, and I'm going to sell out when I think it peaks.

The tough part is going to be living here for whatever amount of time I have to, while they're building & bringing in new people. I lived in town once, for 11 months. It was the most miserable time of my life. I want to be on a dirt road, with a minimum 20 acres of my own.
