Default Hello All!

Hi, New here and just saying hi. I am a WAHM who is very busy but since I'm on the computer so much I would love to build friendships with others so I can chat when I have a minute. I've been married for 8 years and we have a 2 year old son and I know I will be asking for plenty of advise as well. Can't wait to meet you all!

Welcome, from another WAHM! I spend a lot of time on the computer as well, and don't check in on this site as often as I would like, but I find the advice on this forum to be genuine and very upbeat. It's a great place to belong

Kim

Hi ALL !!! Just a quick post if anyone could help me... i am a little girl who is trying to save a BEAUTIFUL man.Can anyone help me as to how i am able to rid myself of the rescuer in me. It is a strong driving force and seems to control my every move to the point of OCD...i am about to change my meds so i am hoping that this will help, but maybe it is just a part of who i am :0( x PS if anyone has any magic tips on creative writing that would also be important x

Welcome to the board, Lostforwords!

First step is admitted you have a problem. That's good.
Next to take action towards a positive outcome.
There are several choice meds for OCD.
Have you been seeing a psychologist?
Going to therapy regularly?

I hope so, my dear!

Gotta save yourself, before attempting to save somebody else.

Start with a daily journal.
Eat healthy meals each day.
Drink 6-8 glasses of water.
Take a multivitamin each morning.
Avoid over the counter pills and alcohol.
Take a walk every morning and every evening.
Exercise routinely.
Take your meds as prescribed.

Another thought: place a thick rubberband on your wrist.
Each time you have one of those urges......lift up on the rubberband
and release. It stings a little, but is a good reminder to stop
those negative urges.

All the best!
