Hi, we have a friend who found out she was pregnant and told us she can't afford to have a second baby. So we talked and everyone decided that we would adopt her baby and give it a wonderful home. We have been so excited, saw sonogram pictures, and buying some infant clothes that would be good for either boy or girl. We have a 15 month old son, but it's always more fun to buy new things for a new baby! Now we've just been informed that she (our friend) went and had an abortion!!
We are sooooo devastated, I didn't realize this would hurt me as much as it has. I felt like I had a connection to the baby, almost like I was the mom. I don't know if anyone else has ever gone through anything like this. But it would be helpful to talk to somebody. Now, adoption is really heavy on our hearts and we want to find someone who wants to do an easy, open adoption. Like a single mother, or teenager. When my friend's baby was to be born, we were supposed to sign the adoption papers and that would be it. If there's anyone out there who is considering adoption and wants to do an easy, open adoption. Please let us know! We are really serious about adopting, and if you don't back out on us, we won't back out on you. And also, if there's anyone out there that has gone through anything like this, please tell me how in the world you got through it! Cause this is tearing me apart.
