I second that. See a doctor, at least for a second opinion to help your wife feel secured and not be stressed out by the weight gain. Are you bothered by her gaining weight? It's just a question..

Her weight gain seems normal. You may want a new midwife...
Make your wife feel beautiful : ) Give her a massage. Do some cleaning. You could also do some exercising with her. Maybe you could shift the attention on to how excited you are about the baby when she brings up gaining weight.

I gained 31 pounds during my pregnancy and I still looked little everywhere but in my belly. I lost it all in a month or two. Tell your wife not to worry!!
