Here's the situation - I have PMd those I know from this area and gotten only 1 taker - The New York Post puts out bundles of 35 "inserts". These are wrapped with a plastic strap. The Sunday inserts are this: TV section, inside Parade Magazine and P&G, SS & Val inserts. That's it. There are 35 of each insert in a bundle. That is a lot of coupons!! I have FIVE of these bundles that I cannot and am not allowed to touch! DH is marvelous but I was delivered a stunning gift from the coupon fairy and he said: Insanity will not happen (anymore than it already exists) and those bundles are not going to be opened by you, or transported to a post office or off this island, by you (meaning me). He is concerned about me lifting that weight at all. He WILL put a bundle or two in the car for delivery ON MY ISLAND to meet someone at a market, busstop. I am cringing at the thought of throwing away over 150 P&Gs, 150 SmartSource, and 150 Valassis.

PLEASE, get together and find a way to come and get these. Recycle is early Friday morning (before I get up) and he will deposit them across the street on his way to work.

Holly, I appreciate your desire to have these coupons, but I guess I wasn't clear. Just to make sure that everyone understands:

I am not allowed to lift any 1 of these bundles. Period. (I can't lift a bottle of marinade today and am using 2 hands to drink my coffee.)

Now, if you want to send someone here to my house no later than 5 am tomorrow (when hubby takes them to the recycle drop-off), and have THEM mail them for you, that would be fine. But the papers/coupons are leaving here unless spoken for by someone I know who will not leave me hanging.

I have a possum living here which seems to enjoy eating my cats' food. I don't see it too often--mainly in the evening. It's about the same size as a cat so I'm usually fairly close to it before I realize it's not a cat. I put my soda cans in my garage and it likes to pick them up and carry them around. Based on the teeth marks in the cans, I think it's best to leave it alone.

Just came across this a bit late.

I would appreciate it if you could please include me in your PM distribution list the next time you come across a "jackpot" like this.

While I live in CT, I work in lower Manhattan ( near Holland Tunnel ). Have never been to Staten Island ( didn't know any one there ). But for coupons/inserts I would venture onto the Ferry or Express Bus ( provided instructions were given as to what to do after I got off ).

By the way, I am a former native New Yorker. Born in Manhattan and grew up in the Bronx ( Riverdale ). Just moved to CT last year.

How heavy or big is one bundle?

I'm guessing it wouldn't weigh more than a 30lb toddler

I have my car in the Bronx, so I would only need to take bundle back to Manhattan and take subway ( this would be after work ).

Otherwise, if on a weekend, I would drive down ( have Ford Explorer so >1 bundle should fit fine ).
