IS there anyone who has shopped Pathmark deals and can tell me?

I am wondering if I use a coupon will that count against the price paid? I know it doesn't at S&S and SR, but last time I tried something at Pathmark, I didn't get the Catalina and I'm not sure if its because of the coupon or becuz the machine wasn't working/
