I just had this problem with PathMark (Eatontown NJ) on the buy $39 dollars of certain products and get a $10 off your next order catalina.
I made sure I hit over $39, but it was before coupons.
My other Catalinas printed. I went to CS and inquired, the CS rep (not one of the nicest people) said -you didn't spend $39. I had the ad, pointed out that it did not say "after coupons" or "not to be combined with any other offer" (coupons, etc.). She held fast to the "you didn't spend $39."
I asked to speak to the manager, she got him on the phone, I guess he couldn't be bothered to come up. He had her give me $10 in PathMark dollars.
She made sure she said "just this time", she hadn't been on the phone with him long enough for him to say more than to give me the PathMark bucks.
All the other CS people there are very nice though.
