Default Help ideas for jobs I can do

Ok, here is the short and sweet of it. (if you want the long and bitter see my thread under the venting forum). My hubby does not make enough money to support us working a FT job (tech support for air force weather) and a PT job (nat'l guard), and though I work PT as a banquet server/temp employee, I do not get enough hours to do any more than drip a little in an empty pot. We have a few things we can sell but except for my dad's stamp collection (which I am fairly clueless on what to do with), but selling our used clothes and furnature is not going to help us much. I am looking for a job. I would like to work around my kid's schedules and even more difficultly, the car's schedule. The bus line in Omaha NE is pretty crappy and does not seem to serve the areas I am seeing possible job openings in.
So I am looking for a job that offers hours the fit between 11:00 pm to 1:00 pm so my husband can take the car to work (he works 2-10:30). It does not sound complicated but most shifts want you there before 11 pm or after 1 pm. What do I have to offer? Nursing experience, (7 solid, 7 off and on) but no RN (unless there is a miracle and they pay to help me reinstate), a good work ethic, honesty (my problems started with a few minutes of dishonesty which has been followed by 7 years of trying to overcome it), intelligence, customer service skills, skills with the elderly. What am I interested in? Putting my family first but actually being allowed to put myself someplace other than last ( I am really sick of sacrificing for everyone else just to be walked on like a doormat and asked to do it somemore). I would like to have a job that I can use to step back into nursing through but I do not know if that job exists. I would really like a job that is either willing to schedule me close to my scheduling desires or better yet, believes that I and their other employees are not total incompatant oafs who care nothing about them and only for ourselves and therefore can not be depended on to set our schedules according to our needs not according to the "normal" perameters. Is there such a thing.
Hey I know this thread kinda wanders and may not make sense but it is 3:40 am and I have had a bad day, as part of a difficult week, a hot and inferiorating month and blending with an altogether frustrating year, as well as the year before that and the year before that, etc

Hi there! I'm new to this site so I don't have my profile or anything set up yet. I do medical transcription from home and it may be something you are interested in. You can send me a PM and I'll give you my email address

Once lived in Omaha myself, in the 80's, loved it as an adolescent.
I've done a lot of substitute teaching and love it. Talk about working around your kids schedule, that is your kids schedule. And you don't have to work everyday, you accept jobs as you need them. There is no prep work or anything to take home. I remember having to take the city bus to middle school in Omaha, if it is still the case that would also solve your transportation needs. Good luck.

I write blogs for (link removed by admin), they pay pretty good. You need a paypal account and a blog you've kept up for three months.
