Actually. . .did you know Japanese babies start solid foods around that time. . .and one of their first foods is radishes? Spices, garlic, etc. - just not such a big deal. Bologna I'd skip because it has such little nutritional value.

Tomatoes however, are highly allergenic-quite a few babies are allergic to them and perhaps that's the problem with the baby. I didn't ff at all, and my kids were a little late to start solids but we skipped baby food entirely with most of them. My youngest three are huge fans of spicy food!
