Default Herb Garden?

Do any of you grow herbs that you use in your kitchen. One of my friends has a back patio that is literally covered in different herbs (in pots). I grew chives and basil last year in the kitchen window. I'm thinking of branching out into some other herbs this year. What do you have in your herb garden?

Of course Rosemary, Sage, Parsley and Thyme should be in everyones garden. Chives both garlic and onion, onions (several different varieties), garlic (several different varieties), Cilentro (when the seeds dry it becomes corriander), anis, hyssop, lemon verbena, lemon grass, mints (several different varieties), pineapple sage, dill, fennel, basil (many different varieties) and the list goes on.

I can't imagine not growing my own herbs, of course I live where these will survive year round. I know many have very harsh winters and need to either green house, bring inside or some how over winter their herbs.
