Default Here we go-Finger Foods!

Well Alyssa has 6 teeth now, and for a few weeks has been biting the spoon and not letting go when I fed her. It was taking a looong time to eat! So I got her some of those little Graduates cherry and sweet potato puffs, and some diced carrots and peaches...and then Cheerios and that doesn't even include the bites of food she gets from what I'm eating. She loves it all! And she's got her pincer grasp down well. It happened so fast! I guess its a good age because my ped said about 8 months and she could eat more solid foods. I just wanted to put it off because the idea of her choking on something scares me, but she seems to be chewing and swallowing the food well.

And she has mastered her walker! I swear that girl can go anywhere she puts her mind too. And she's fast too! My little speedy gonzales! Wow how time flies...

Seems like this time is flying by so quickly!

Enjoy every minute of her being a baby.

I love all the photos you post. She is adorable!

My boy is 10.5 months old now and has 5 1/2 teeth with more waiting to pop in. Here is his eating schedule:
Wake up: Bottle - 8oz (About 6am)
8am-ish - Cereal with Fruit mixed in, Puffs &/or Cheerios
10am-ish - Bottle- 8oz
Noon-ish - Cereal with Veges, Puffs &/or Cheerios
3-ish - Bottle 8 oz
5-ish - dinner. Sometimes jarred food, sometimes whatever we are eating...
7-ish bottle 8 oz before bed.

Lately, he has been uninterested in eating cereal, but loves (LOVES!) finger foods. I am worried that he isn't going to get some of the nutritional value of the cereal, if we eliminate it from his diet. (He does get a multi-vitamin). Should I start offering other things instead of the cereal for Breakfast and Lunch? Any ideas of what we can feed him for breakfast/Lunch? I don't want things to get too mundane. We feed him Waffles, Yogurt, Macaronis, meats, potatoes, etc. -- Mostly starches. I don't want to feed him waffles/pancakes everyday for breakfast. But not sure what else to do.
TIA!
Oh! He does chew his food. But sometimes gets excited and shovels too much in.

Logan is 8 months and is on almost all table foods. He's really picky and won't take food from a jar. He clamps his mouth shut and shakes his head whenever we try. Luckily, he started getting teeth at 3 months and now has 8! It's so much easier when they eat table foods!
