Default hip pain

Does anyone else experience hip pain at night? I have to turn every few hours at night because one side will get sore to the point that it feels painful to just touch my hip. I keep a pillow between my legs to help with my lower back. I've experienced this with both of my pregs, I'm just wondering if it's normal and if there's anything I could do to relieve it. Thanks

Every night now for the last 3 weeks...if I get 2-3 hours I'm sooo happy.

I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow...seems you are quite a bit further along than me, I'm guessing it won't get better.

Good luck!

Thanks, and yes it just won't go away, I'm lucky if I get five hours sleep these days. The leg cramps have set in now. Less than 13 weeeks to go. I hope it gets better for you. take care

With my first pregnancy I had a twisted pelvis & went to PT to treat it.

I totally remember having this pretty bad when I was pregnant, but had forgotten! I guess it is true that women are programmed to forget the bad things...

For me, I just slept sitting up in a recliner. It did go away eventually, I think once my body got used to being pregnant. Good luck honey and I do hope you can get some decent sleep soon!

I think the hip pain is a common pregnancy problem. My sis in law just had her 4th and often times throughout the pregnancy, her hip would hurt for a minute and then her leg would go numb. It turned out the baby was laying more to the right (leg that was affected) and the extra weight was pressing on the major nerve that runs through the hip and leg. The doctor suggested she sleep on the opposite side and try kneeling with her head down on a pillow (just not put pressure on the stomach) to relieve some of the pain. Sometimes these things worked and sometimes not.
