Default Home at Last

Hello all, I just got home from the hospital. I was admitted Saturday morn @ around 2:30. I woke up with chest pains and shortness of breath and the baby had been on the move nonstop all day. When she would move it felt like she was ripping me apart. So I went to ER. They took some blood and did an chest xray ( of course after sheilding the baby with lead vests that they laid on my belly ) to see if I had any fluid. After all test came back negative they sent me up to the maternity ward so they could monitor the baby and see why I hurt so bad when she moved. Turns out after doing a sonogram they found a small tear in my uterus. Fortunatley it wasn't a severe enough for surgery. They just kept me in the bed and monitored my uterus for contractions and monitored the babys heart rate for any signs of distress. After two days of rest and relaxation they did another sonogram and the tear hasnt gotten worse so they let me come home. They are putting me on bed rest for a week and Im suppose to go back to the doc on the 16th. Just wondering if anyone else has had a tear and if so what kind of treatment they received. I was led to believe anyone who suffered a tear ( no matter how big or small ) surgery was done to repair the tear? Girly

What an experience for you and baby!

So glad to hear that both of you are doing well.
Stay on the bedrest and the limits your doc has set.

No tears for me during pg, so no advise.

Just take it easy and do not over-do this holiday season.

How are you doing? No advice from me either other than to take it easy and rest when possible to allow for healing...Will keep you and your wee girl in my thoughts...
