Default Home schooling special needs children

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience homeschooling special needs children. I will be starting to teach my son this fall (he doesn't have any special needs) but my daughter will be starting the next fall and she has a speech delay. Does anyone know of some good cirriculum to use or direct me in the right direction.

Katie,
I don't have special needs children of my own, but I run a support group for homeschooling parents and have given a lot of counsel and can point you in the right direction but really need more information as far as where to point you.
1) What state are you in and are you aware of their legal requirements?
2) How old is your daughter and how is it that you have come to discover she has a speech delay?
You can pm me if you don't want to share with the group.

Hi Katie,
I don't have experience yet, but I will. My son has sensory integration dysfunction. He will be going to a special school for preschool and we are hoping that will give him a good start and hopefully prepare him for homeschooling once he gets into kindergarten. I am nervous about it, but my husband is very encouraging. He keeps telling to to keep good notes and then write a book about it someday. I haven't been able to find any really great books about homeschooling kids like him. If you come across any, please share the titles with me!
